Radu's practice focuses on international and domestic
project finance, mining law, energy infrastructure development and related transactions.
Prior to joining Duncan & Allen, Radu was an associate in the Energy and Global
Transactions practice group of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP.
Radu received his B.A. summa cum laude in 2002 from Bates College, where he was elected
to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. in 2005 from the University of Chicago Law
School, where he was a member of the University of Chicago Law Review and served
as a research assistant for the Hon. Richard A. Posner. Between October 2000 and June
2001, Mr. Costinescu completed the General Course at the London School of Economics
and Political Science. He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia Bars,
the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
Radu is the co-author of "Designing Break-up Transactions" (pts. 1, 2 & 3), 10:2
The M&A Lawyer 13 (2006), 10:3 The M&A Lawyer 5 (2006) and 10:4 The M&A
Lawyer 6 (2006). He is fluent in English, Romanian, Italian, French and Spanish.
